Dart Smart Shuttle showcase at MYCE 2022

Yang Berhormat Pengiran Shamhary Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport & Communications and His Excellency Toru Maeda, Brunei’s Ambassador of Japan visited Dart’s booth at the Mid Year Conference and Exhibition.

Dart Logistics is developing the concept of Dart Smart Shuttle with Spare Technology Solutions (JV between Mitsubishi Corporation and Spare Labs), creating a smart app to provide affordable short distance transportation in Brunei.

Dart would also like to express gratitude to Mitsubishi Corporation and to Mr Tadashi Hara, Country Representative of Mitsubishi Corporation Brunei Liaison Office for the collaboration and support.

Prioritizing safety with Defensive Driving programmes

Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd and Megamas Training Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) symbolizing a collaboration to provide a Defensive Driving programme to Dart Drivers. The ceremony was held at Dart Headquarters.

Siti Nor Syaahidah Haji Sahron, Acting General Manager of Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd and Michael Stringer, General Manager of Megamas Training Company Sdn Bhd were present to sign the MOU. Present as witnesses were Dart’s Communications & Community Officer, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Ajeerah Firdausul Bolqiah and Hj Mahmud bin Haji Idris, Deputy General Manager of Megamas.

This would be the second collaboration between Dart and Megamas , with the goal to equip Dart Drivers with defensive driving and road safety skills. This is also a part of Dart’s mission to build a strong foundation for the Dart Driver community and to pave the way to collaborating with the oil and gas industry. 

Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd has almost 300 Dart drivers who are medically certified, professionally licensed and commercially insured with extensive background checks by Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri and Royal Brunei Police Force.

DART SMART SHUTTLE SOFT LAUNCH

Brunei Darussalam, 28th March 2022 – A soft launch of the Dart Smart Shuttle was held at Dart Headquarters.

Since 2017, Dart Logistics has transformed the way Bruneian’s commute with their affordable on-demand ride share service that has proven to be a winner with over 300 registered drivers serving over 10,000 trips per month. Dart also provides runner services for their corporate clients that serve thousands of deliveries everyday within the nation. 

A photo session was being held at the Dart Headquarters followed by a test ride of the Dart Smart Shuttle app to various locations within Gadong and Kiulap area.

Dart Smart Shuttle is aiming to be the next revolution of public transport for Brunei which incorporates an Artificial Intelligence (A.I) based smart shuttle system for short trips in traffic congestion commercial areas. 

The Dart Smart Shuttle A.I instantly plans the most efficient route based on passengers, road traffic and demand while skipping unnecessary stops and saving valuable time and fuel. It also optimizes pickups re-routing to the closest shuttle when a new passenger requests for a ride with minimal effect to the time of existing passengers journey.

With the new Dart Smart Shuttle app, customers can select pick-up and drop-off points from a fixed set of locations within the Kiulap & Gadong areas. A flat rate per ride fare will be implemented in the next phase and the Dart Smart Shuttle app will be available on both Google and App stores.

Dart Logistics aims to further conduct on-the-road test of the Dart Smart Shuttle service and is targeted to be fully operational in the coming weeks to ensure that customers experienced the best service.

Finally, the Dart Smart Shuttle service will expand its services to include co-branding opportunities in the near future with corporate clients to increase consumer engagement by daily commuters on the road.

DART & MAED collaborate to provide First Aid programmes for Dart Drivers

Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd and MAED Consultation & Training Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to symbolize a collaboration to provide First Aid Awareness and Training programmes to Dart Drivers such as Occupational First Aid, Safe Journey Management Plan and First Aid for Emergency on the Road.

Yang Mulia Keeran Dato Paduka Janin, Chief Executive Officer of Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd and Yang Mulia Irwati Abdul Gafur, Managing Director of MAED Consultation & Training Company were present at the ceremony to sign the MOU. Signing as witnesses were Dart’s Chief Operations Officer, Siti Nor Syaahidah Haji Sahron and Shell LiveWIRE Brunei’s Programme Director, Hj Abdul Yusrin bin Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Mohd Salleh.

One of the goals of this collaboration is to educate Dart’s Driver community on the importance of road safety skills and to be equipped with the skills to respond in emergencies. These programmes are only the beginning towards building a strong foundation in Dart’s ever-growing Driver community.

Dart's Customer Service Workshop goes online

The second and last session of Dart’s Customer Service Workshop goes online! The Dart Team and workshop participants shared their knowledge and experience on the ways to provide quality service and making a positive impact on customers.

Amidst the rising Covid-19 active cases, the Dart Team continues to provide opportunities for employment by opening submissions for Dart Driver applications and Dart Runners (delivery drivers).

Coming Together To Help Underprivileged Families

As part of Dart's effort in assisting the community, Dart has partnered with Royal Brunei Culinary in producing the Dart Food weekly lunch and dinner meal plans that are delivered daily.

Takaful Brunei has kindly donated weekly lunch and dinner meal plans for up to 100 individuals from 14 underprivileged families for the month of November.

In accordance with the Ministry of Health's guidelines, the meals are produced by master chefs from Royal Brunei Culinary and delivered by vaccinated Dart drivers to a listing of underprivileged families provided by Hand4Hand Brunei.

Takaful Brunei’s Corporate Marketing Manager, Mohammad Nazmi Hj Souyono handed the donation to Dart’s Business Development Manager, Hj Nabil Aiman Hj Ibrahim at RBC HQ.

Present was also RBC’s Business Development Executive, Elvin Lim and Hand4Hand founder Haji Muhammad Iqbal Fakhri bin Haji Damit.
