Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd in partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation strives to revolutionize Brunei’s public transportation services with the launch of the Dart Smart Shuttle Service. The launch have taken place at 118 Residence and was attended by Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), Tuan Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof & Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency, Maeda Toru.
Dart Smart Shuttle provides the latest innovation in public transportation while implementing Artificial Intelligence (A.I) that efficiently plans the Shuttle’s routes. This will ensure that any Smart Shuttle customers will achieve the most optimized route to their next destination. At an affordable fare fee of $2.00 per trip, Dart Smart Shuttle will be accessible to anyone with a smartphone. Dart Logistics collaborates with Spare Technology Solutions Inc. which is a joint venture between Spare Labs Inc. and Mitsubishi Corporation to make Dart Smart Shuttle achievable. With the knowledge and experience gained by Mitsubishi Corporation from their on-demand bus projects in Japan, we aim to resolve Brunei’s transportation issue.
Siti Nor Syaahidah Haji Sahron, Acting General Manager of Dart Logistics Sdn Bhd said: “You can find Dart Smart Shuttle in Gadong, Kiulap and RIPAS areas, where affordable transportation allows our customers to have a stress-free experience and you don’t need to find parking in these crowded areas. You can just park your car near one of our Dart Shuttle stops and grab the Shuttle to your favorite shops, cafes or restaurants” “The Dart Smart Shuttle does not take a specified route but takes our customers from one of the more than 24 stops in the efficient route to their destination stop. All of this within the easy-to-use Dart Shuttle App. This will not only give our customers the convenience of moving between the various locations faster, but also helps alleviate the congestion in these busy areas”, said Dart Co-Founder Keeran Janin.
From today, the Dart Shuttle service is available in Kiulap, Gadong and RIPAS areas and will soon expand to the city centre as well.
